Description:

Shiloh Sharps rifles are made in the U.S. in the small town of Big Timber, Montana, with hand selected and finished parts. They are the only company producing rifles with parts that interchange with original Sharps rifles. This gorgeous example is chambered for the .50 2 1/2 Sharps Straight (.50-90 Sharps), the same cartridge used by Billy Dixon to make his legendary 1,538 yard shot at the Second Battle of Adobe Walls and used by buffalo hunters on the Great Plains. It has a Beach combination front sight, "Shiloh-Sharps Model 1874", a tap, dovetail blank, and "CALIBRE 50/2 1/2" on the top of the barrel; the serial number and caliber on the underside of the barrel, matching numbered high grade American walnut forearm with Hartford style pewter cap, the serial number and an adjustable peep sight on the receiver tang, the two-line address on the left side of the receiver, double set triggers, a high grade walnut buttstock with attractive feathered figure, and a casehardened rifle buttplate. The original invoice is included and notes the "Extra-Fancy" wood and special pewter forend cap.
