This rifle was manufactured in Japan in 1978 with a beaded blade front sight, folding notch rear sight with a tap ahead and behind it for scope/sight mounting, checkered walnut stock and forearm with serrated buttplate, and factory engraving on the French gray receiver consisting of two squirrels on branch on the right, a mallard in flight on the top, two prairie dogs on the left, and floral accents throughout. A leather bound takedown case with factory papers is included.

Excellent. 95% plus of the original finish remains. There is some minor spotting and scattered small marks. The wood is very good with mostly crisp checkering, several scattered scratches, and a few small dings. Mechanically excellent. The case is as new.
