Manufactured in 1991. According to consignor notes this rifle was engraved by Turnbull Restorations. The receiver is engraved with a zigzag and dot border and floral scroll with punch dot background patterns. In addition, there is a round panel at the rear left side with a gold inlaid buffalo in a prairie scene and a round panel at the front ride side with a gold inlaid standing bear in a mountain scene. The lower tang is signed "JOHN K PEASE ENGR.". Pease has not worked with Turnbull and is an engraving business owner from Chester, Ma. The top of the receiver at the breech is stamped "NP", and the upper tang is marked "BROWNING MODEL 1886". The replacement barrel is fitted with a ramped beaded blade front sight with no provisions for a rear sight, and there is a Lyman receiver mounted peep sight. Blue barrel and 1/2 magazine tube and casehardened remaining parts. Mounted with a nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a leather wrapped solid recoil pad. Comes with a brown leather sling with quick release sling swivels.

Professionally assembled, refinished and embellished, showing a couple minor dings on the buttstock, and overall light handling marks. The forearm is ill-fitting at the receiver showing a 1/16 inch gap all the way around. The sling is good with some light wear and some minor scuffs.
