Manufactured in 1886 as a third model. The rifle has Beach combination front, elevation adjustable rear (missing elevator) and Vernier tang sights. The top of the barrel has the two-line address/patent dates ahead of the rear sight and "38 CAL" at the breech. The cartridge elevator is marked "38 CAL." Mounted with a smooth straight grip stock fitted with a crescent buttplate with compartment (cleaning rod not included).

Fine. The rifle retains 30% original blue finish with the balance a mottled brown-gray patina. 40% of the bright original nitre blue remains on the loading gate. The wood is also fine with some minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Missing rear sight elevator.
