Manufactured in 1897. The two line address is marked on the top barrel flat ahead of the rear sight and "32-40" at the breech. The upper tang is marked with the three-line model, maker, 1894 patent date, and the serial number is on the front underside of the receiver. It features dovetailed German silver blade front and adjustable buck horn rear sights, a full length magazine tube, blue finish, casehardened hammer, lever, forend cap and buttplate; and is mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Fine. The rifle retains 60% plus original blue finish with some high point wear and scattered areas thinning to a smooth gray patina. There is a small minor dent in the magazine tube on the right side near the forearm and a few minor scratches on the receiver. 30% of the original case colors remain on the lever with a smooth gray patina on the balance and on the other casehardened parts. The wood is also fine with some scattered minor dents and dings. The markings remain crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
