Manufactured early in the 20th century. The top of the barrel is inscribed with "Adam Schurk Munchen" in ornate script. The bottom of the barrel is marked with German proofmarks, "PRIMA KRUPPSCHER/GUSSSTAHL" and "RJ." The front of the trigger guard/lever has the intertwined initials "WST." The receiver has traditional floral scroll engraving flanking panel scenes of elk and roe deer. A folk art style mythical figure is on the bottom ahead of the lever. The forend tip and the Tyrolean style buttstock have floral scroll carving and the latter has checkering and a hooked buttplate. It is also equipped with a winged post front sight, diopter rear peep sight, and double set triggers.

Rating Definition:

Fine with dark brown patina along most of the barrel, blue in the protected areas, 50% plus, lightly fading original case color, especially vibrant colors near the top of the lever, and some light spotting. The engraving, carving, and checkering are crisp. The forearm is very fine and has only minor handling and storage marks. The refinished buttstock is very good and has some slight repairs and chipping at the front of the wrist, splices at the rear swivel and on the left between the cheekpiece and buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
