Manufactured early in the 20th century with eagle and "crown/B" (proof load) commercial proofs. There are no maker's marks. The receiver has a rather plump man in Alpine attire on the right armed with a jaeger rifle with a fence to his right and two targets on a hillside to his left and a boy with a rod on the left side standing next to a target. There are positions for mounting sights on the barrel, double set triggers, and a diopter rear peep sight. It has a checkered Tyrolean style buttstock with single hook buttplate and a smooth Schnabel tip forearm.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 75% of the original blue finish, 50% original case colors, and gray and brown patina on the balance, minor edge wear, and some light oxidation. The otherwise fine wood has a few slight hairline cracks, minor dings and scratches, mostly crisp checkering, a spliced thumb rest, and chipping at the toe. Mechanically excellent.
