The upper barrel flat is inlaid with "IMMAN. MEFFERT. SUHL." The underside has the "BUG" proofs and matching serial number. It is equipped with an adjustable post front sight with wings, a flared section near the breech for mounting a rear sight, double set triggers, and an integral base on the upper tang for a diopter sight along with taps for an aftermarket peep sight. The breech has silver bands. The action has dog and deer scenes as well as floral scrollwork. Additional floral patterns are on the lever and other parts. The Schnabel forearm is smooth, and the Tyrolean style buttstock is checkered and has a single hook buttplate numbered to the gun.

Very good with 85% original blue and casehardened finish. There are some minor spots of oxidation. The forearm is also very good and has minor marks and scratches. The buttstock is fair with cracks and repairs at the wrist and thumb rest, fairly crisp checkering, and some dents and scratches. This is a rare System Klobe rifle with an excellent bright bore.
