Description:

Manufactured in 1868. The top of the barrel has the one-line New York U.S. American address, the frame has "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side, the trigger guard has "36 CAL" on the left side, and the cylinder has the roll engraved Texas naval battle scene. Matching numbers are found on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder and arbor pin. The wedge is un-numbered.

Rating Definition:

Fine. There is cold blue visible on the cylinder; otherwise, the barrel retains 50% of the original blue bright high polish finish, and the frame and hammer retain 40% original case colors. Most of the cylinder scene remains. There are few areas of deep pitting on the barrel. Areas of original silver plating (30%) remain on the grip straps. The grip is very good with high edge wear, a hairline crack on the butt and some minor pressure dents (mostly on the bottom). Mechanically excellent.
