Manufactured in 1959, the first year of production for the K-frame .22 Magnum series. The revolver exhibits near full coverage Class A floral scroll engraving by S&W Master Engraver Russ Smith. The initials "WHM" on the right side of the frame. Equipped with Patridge blade front and adjustable square notch rear sights, wide checkered target hammer, wide serrated target trigger and diamond target stocks. Matching serial numbers are found on the butt, barrel, yoke and cylinder. The factory records confirm this revolver will letter as engraved with the initials "WHM," and that it was shipped in February 1960. There are two other S&W revolvers (Pre-Model 17 K284696 and Pre-Model 27 S164413) in this auction that have been identified as factory engraved with the initials "WHM." These two revolvers are found in the previous two lots. All three revolvers were shipped to the same distributor.

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% plus of the blue finish showing a light cylinder drag line. 99% plus of the case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are also very fine with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
