Manufactured from 1966 to 1986, with standard markings and features. Serrated front ramp and adjustable rear target sights, full lug barrel, wide serrated target hammer and smooth trigger. Fitted with checkered two-piece wrap around grips with Colt medallions. The right side of the barrel is marked with the Colt one-line address, and the left side is marked, "DIAMONDBACK/.38 SPECIAL CTG." with the Rampant Colt on the left rear of the frame. Complete with yellow factory warning tag, original factory wood grain box number to the gun and original Colt Factory Letter stating its provenance as, "…a sample and display revolver kept at the Colt Factory". Near new in box with 99% plus original finish with a few light scratches on the underside of the frame just ahead of the trigger guard and a slight dragline on the cylinder. The box is very good with a few minor to moderate tears and creases on the box flaps.
