PRF - PROFESSIONALLY REFINISHED OR RESTORED

Manufactured in 1894 and according to information supplied with the gun subsequently factory refurbished in the 1960s. Single bead sight, 2 3/4 inch chambers, selective auto ejectors, cylinder/full chokes, dual triggers, and a tang mounted manual safety. Features a "fancy back" box lock action with relief sculpted fences, and scalloped frame, fine game bird and hunting dog scenes and tight scroll engraving on the balance and fancy checkered forearm and stock with a gold initial oval inscribed "R.D.B", and extended checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements, and weight are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .737/.737 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .037/.037 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 15 inches; 1/4 inch cast off; 6 Lbs. 4 Oz. With and unmarked leather bound takedown case.

Very fine as factory refurbished with 98% of the blue finish, clear markings, visible though slightly muted case colors, and light handling marks. The wood has a few scattered small dings, sharp checkering, and attractive figure. Mechanically excellent.
