Manufactured in 1928. Single brass bead sight, Witten Excelsior steel barrels, 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejectors, full/full chokes, and wedges of decorative scroll engraving on the barrels at the breech. The rib is inscribed "CHARLES DALY DIAMOND QUALITY". Full coverage tight scroll engraving on the receiver with "CHARLES DALY" marked on the sides, a game bird scene on the underside and a detailed setter on the trigger guard. Checkered forearm and stock with an ebony tip insert, silver initial oval and leather wrapped butt pad. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .725/.725 inch; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .043/.043 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 3 inches; length of pull 14 inches; cast off; toe in; 5 lbs. 14.8 oz.

Fine. 80% original blue finish remains with small marks and edge wear on the barrels, a mostly gray patina on the receiver with sharp, highly detailed engraving, and traces of original case colors in the more protected areas. The refinished wood is fine with well defined checkering, small scattered dings, added pad, and a 1 inch circle of wood replaced on the left side of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
