Manufactured in 1939. Single bead sight, 2 3/4 inch chambers, standard early style German proofs on the flats and water table, and improved cylinder/modified chokes. The barrel rib at the breech, top of the break lever, and forend iron are all marked "II" indicating this gun was once part of a set. Receiver is engraved with elaborate nature and game scenes of foxes stalking rabbits on the right and a hunting dog flushing birds on the left. The balance features tight flowing scroll. Checkered forearm and stock with raised cheekpiece, and serrated "SuS" monogrammed buttplate. Stock measurements are: 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull.

Fine with 85% plus original blue finish, scattered surface scratches, and some light edge wear. The wood is fine with well defined checkering, and scattered small dings. Mechanically excellent.
