Developed based on field observation and soldier feedback, the 1942 smock pattern introduced tabs for suspending additional camouflage material, as well as a pair of integral pockets (instead of just slits in the smock for reaching tunic pockets). This smock is printed in a double sided pattern, green/brown/black "summer" colors on one side, burnt orange/brown/black "autumn" on the reverse, with sets of stitched-on matching colored tabs about the chest, shoulders and back, drawstring neck, elastic waist and cuffs, and a pair of reversible herringbone twill pockets with camouflage flaps and metal buttons. This specific tunic can be seen on page 105 of "Camouflage Uniforms of the Waffen-SS" by Michael Beaver, and comes with a signed photograph attributing it as part of Beaver's personal collection.

Very good, with some mild stains overall, and some fading of the pattern along the creases and the folds in the elastic sections. Overall the printed pattern remains crisp on both sides, with the stitching generally solid and the elastic in good order. Despite their status as a production item, Waffen-SS camo smocks are rare on the market, especially in very good condition like this.
