Description:

Produced after 1943, it would be a1942 Type I Pattern A. Overall construction is herringbone twill, with both sides fitted with a series of stitched on matching colored tabs for mounting native foliage for increased concealment, with a green cord to secure the neck, self-adjusting elastic cuffs and waistband, and a set of reversible pockets with camouflage flaps and alloy buttons. The pockets themselves are constructed from gray herringbone twill fabric, and no visible maker's marks are present. Similar examples pictured and described in the Book "Camouflage Uniforms of the Waffen-SS" by Beaver in pages 107-111, a herringbone twill example on page 111. Consignor notes state that Beaver related to them that this example was a veteran bring-back and "the finest example of its type".

Rating Definition:

Very good, with some minor stains and handling marks. The elastic sections are in good order, and the buttons and tabs all are solidly attached.
