Description:

Manufactured in 1943 before the introduction of the G43 rifle. The G41 was one of the only production model semi-automatic rifles to use the "gas trap" system, as opposed to the gas port used on the G43 which has become the de-facto standard for gas-operated weaponry from World War II up through the modern day. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with the model and manufacturer markings on the left side of the finely machined receiver, machined mismatched number dust cover and bolt carrier, solid cocking knob, and a left side mounted bolt catch. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock, and a contrasting resin handguard, matching number on the underside, brown leather sling and a cupped steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine as assembled (see above). 40% original thinning blue finish remains with a slightly mottled silver/gray patina on the balance, areas of light spotting, handling marks throughout, and sharp markings. The stock is fine with small nicks and dings throughout, a few deeper gouges, and a visible crack on the right side of the wrist. Mechanically excellent.
