Description:

This new style uniform was meant to serve in all seasons, and additionally, decoration like the Nazi eagle and provisions for mounting shoulder boards were eliminated, both to further simplify production and to keep the accoutrements from disrupting the camouflage; while many SS troopers and officers disregarded the prohibitions against mounting said items, the owner of this set seems to have played it straight by the book. The "dot" pattern printing is single sided and both items are non-reversible, with the jacket interior lined in yellow cloth with gray herringbone twill pockets and sleeve lining, marked "Bett Ra." and "44 41/88/78 70" inside the right armpit. Overall arrangement of pockets is similar to the standard feldbluse. The trousers are lined in gray cloth, with the inside of the waistband marked "223-41" and "60 88/102 119". The belt is brown leather, marked "jkh/42" and "100" at the ends, with a green painted SS-pattern "Meine Ehre heisst Treue!" buckle stamped "RODO" on the interior

Rating Definition:

Virtually mint, with some light handling marks and stains overall. A small section of stitching on the left sleeve has come loose, and some rust is visible on the metal components of the trousers and on the buttons. Overall color and detail of the pattern is sharp and vivid. The belt is in good condition, with mild racking and wear. (See front cover of Beaver's book where a virtually identical example is pictured.)
