Manufactured in 1918. Blade front and flat top notch rear sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent dates along with the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide, and "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY" on the right. The "JMG" inspected frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side, with a long smooth trigger, wide checkered hammer, a pair of checkered grips with diamond flats, unmarked two-tone magazine and a refinished "P/H" marked replacement barrel. Fine, with 60% of the blue finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina on the grip straps, the start of a brown patina on top of the slide, and some bright edge wear and handling marks. The moderately worn grips are good, with some scratches and dents. The breech shows a plum color, and the throat has been opened up. The pouch is very good, with some light stains. Mechanically excellent.
