Offered here is an exceptional example of modern firearm art by Master Engraver Angelo Bee who has signed his work on the left side of the slide under a gold inlaid buffalo head. 95% of the surface feature floral scroll engraving on a punch dot background that is accented with gold inlaid line borders. There are several gold inlays on the slide, which are a buffalo head, a Rampant Colt, two bighorn rams, and a bear head. The most impressive slide inlays are the pair of rams in a mountain scene that are featured ahead of the ejection port. The Colt slide markings and serial number are in gold. The accompanying factory letter states the pistol had a 5 inch barrel in .45 ACP, blue finish and unlisted stocks when it was shipped to Fire Arms Inc. of El Paso, Texas, on April 13, 1967, as part of a 10 gun shipment.
