Description:

Manufactured in 1920 and subsequently professionally embellished by Master Engraver John Adams Sr. with near full coverage floral scroll engraving on a punch dot background. Adams signed his work on the front strap near the bottom: "J. ADAMS." The slide is accented with scrollwork in gold on the sides and near both sights and a gold Rampant Colt on the rear of the left side. The trigger has engraved cross hatching, and the trigger guard has a leaf motif engraving. The chamber is engraved with scrollwork, and the front strap has a wedge of cross hatching accented with scrollwork and gold entwining lines. The Colt factory slide markings are retained, and the serial number is in gold on the left frame side. The gold plated magazine has engraved wedges of scrollwork on the lower sides, and the floor plate has a wavy line and dot motif and "CAL .32/COLT." The trigger, slide stop, barrel and magazine catch are also plated in gold. Comes with a Adams & Adams letter confirming that the "D" engraving with gold inlays was done by John Adams, grips and finish. The date is listed as "1/15/2004."

Extremely fine as professionally embellished by Master Engraver J. Adams with 99% plus of the blue and gold finishes remaining and showing the slightest handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent.
