Description:

Originally manufactured in 1977 and subsequently returned to the factory for embellishments by Colt Master Engraver George Spring. The accompanying factory letter states the pistol was in standard configuration when it was shipped to Graf and Sons of Mexico, Missouri, on October 21, 1977, and was returned to the factory for additional customizing on November 5, 1999, when it received a class "C" American style scroll engraving done by George Spring, action tuned, royal blue finish and fitted with its current grips featuring recessed gold medallions. The pistol was reshipped in a walnut presentation case (not included) to an individual in Henderson, Kentucky, on July 6, 2000. Spring signed his work on the left side of the grip frame: "SPRING." The back of both grip panels are ink stamped "Hand Crafted For/Colt Firearms."

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine overall as returned to the factory for engraving. 99% plus of the factory blue finish remains and showing only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
