Offered here is a rare piece of modern Western movie memorabilia. It is one of ten factory documented engraved SAAs commissioned by famed actor Samuel L. Jackson for members of Quentin Tarantino's 2015 Western film "The Hateful Eight," which, besides Jackson, starred Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demián Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Bruce Dern. The accompanying factory letter confirms the caliber, barrel length, finishes, grips and class "C" scroll engraving with the addition of "THE H8FUL EIGHT" on the right side of the barrel. The engraver's name is "not listed." It was shipped to Martin B. Retting, Inc., one of the largest firearm stores in California, of Culver City on April 8, 2015, as part of a 10 gun shipment commissioned by Samuel L. Jackson. This revolver was given to Jackson's "Hateful Eight" co-star and veteran actor Bruce Dern. In an included August 27, 2016, dated and Bruce Dern signed letter of provenance, it is confirmed that Dern received this revolver on the set of "The Hateful Eight" and "the other leading actors on the set received similar gifts." Presented on the letter is a photocopy of a photograph of Dern holding this revolver. In "The Hateful Eight," Dern played General Sanford "Sandy" Smithers (a.k.a. "The Confederate").

Jackson special order factory engraved Colt presented to veteran actor Bruce Dern on the set of "The Hateful Eight" will make a splendid addition to any SAA or movie collection!
