Mid-18th century pistol by Giovanni Sofianti of Florence, Italy, without sights and with "G. SOFIANTI" on the lower edge of the lock, raised relief mask and scroll engraving, raised relief floral carving, a horn forend, and an "LCH" inscribed silver thumb plate.

Fair. Refinished overall with a dark artificial gray on the barrel, 40% casehardened finish on the lock, mild oxidation, light pitting, generally distinct designs, repaired crack in the trigger guard tang, some small cracks in the stock and forend tip, and scattered dings and scratches.
