Description:

The scroll engraved German silver receiver is signed "I. BLISSETT/69 LEADENHALL ST/LONDON" on the left side and "IMPROVED/REVOLVING PISTOL" on the right side. The bar hammer, trigger guard and back strap are also engraved. The 6-shot barrel cluster has numbered chambers and "crown/letter" proofs stamped in the flutes. The action is fitted with a unique turn screw hammer safety. The partitioned case has brass hardware and contains a bullet mold, ramrod, case key, extra percussion nipples, lead balls, two tools and plain two-cavity powder flask.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel cluster retains flashes of original case colors with some very light pitting. The trigger guard retains 50% original blue finish, and the hammer retains 60% original case colors. The frame has thinned traces of original silver; otherwise the exposed metal has an attractive appearance and a crisp engraving. The undersize grips are fine showing a shallow gash (right panel) and some minor scratches with most of the finish remaining. Mechanically excellent. The relined case is good showing some minor handling/storage marks and some high spot wear.
