Description:

Constructed primarily from black lacquered metal plates assembled with blue cord, with red interior trim and areas of cloth backed chain mail. The helmet is of the "chochin kabuto" style, constructed from 9 individual segments connected with brown cord, which can collapse flat when not being worn, and comes with a large brass crest. The rest of the suit is of more conventional construction, and includes a cuirass with hanging shoulder and thigh guards, a set of thigh protectors with segmented plate armor, arm guard constructed mainly with chain and reinforced with steel elbow and hand plates, and a "hanpo" style face guard with hanging neck plates. Included with the armor are two unrelated sections of cord-connected hanging plates (origin unknown) and a lacquered hardwood transport case.

Rating Definition:

Good overall, with some mild wear and tear. The cords show some fraying, and the plates some superficial cracking and lacquer loss. The case is fair, with the lid detached and similar lacquer wear/loss.
