Description:

Measuring 14 1/4 inches overall, with a 9 1/2 inch blade showing a strong hamon, fine grain, single fullers and a copper habaki. The aikuchi-pattern fittings are wrapped in lacquered floral pattern fabric with ebony hardware, a pair of silver finished face-themed decorative menuki, and a silver dragon ornament on saya. The saya is slotted for a kogatana (not included). The tang is unsigned, but shows a fine aged appearance and two mekugi-ana.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The bright polish, attractive blade shows a small amount of pitting, a small skin crack on the right side near the tip and a dark spot near the edge. The habaki is splitting along the front, and the fittings shows some mild wear, with the kurikata reattached to the saya.
