The buckle is very similar to plate 109 collected from Vicksburg, Mississippi, in "Confederate Belt Buckles & Plates" by Steve E. Mullinax and is the same size. The belt is 36 inches long and has five holes at slightly irregular intervals and not in a parallel line.

Rating Definition:

Good with heavy aged patina, some grayish residue in the right corners, minor imperfection, and brighter verdigris on the back where the buckle rests against the belt. The belt is fair and heavily crackled and flaked and also has a tape repair.
