Gilt brass hilt with pierced and engraved floral decoration on the guard, an American shield and laurel wreath pattern on the pommel, a wire wrapped sharkskin grip and a gold ribbon sword knot. With a metal scabbard fitted with gilt brass furniture.

Excellent, with some extremely minor spotting on the excellent bright original high polished blade, 85% plus gilt finish on the hilt, mostly intact brown finish visible on the scabbard, and a few scattered dings on the scabbard fittings. One will look a long time to find a finer example!
