Description:

It is numbered in the late Model 1861 Navy range, lacks the "NEW MODEL" marking, and fitted with the cone style front sight but otherwise has the standard New Model Navy markings and features including the 1858 patent marking. "S" ordnance inspectors visible on the left side of barrel and frame, "A" opposite on barrel, "D" on cylinder and trigger guard, "M" on grip butt.

Rating Definition:

Very good overall with most of the period, possibly arsenal refinished blue, evidence of buffing the frame, minor oxidation and edge wear, and some slight chipping on the grips. Grips are very fine. Mechanically excellent.
