Description:

Features a blade front side with "spider" base, banded transition from round to octagon, a raised silver oval marked "AS" on top near the breech, grooved upper tang for a rear sight, engraved "R/ASHMORE/WARRANTED" lock, acorn finial trigger guard with floral and border engraving, engraved side plate, small silver shield by the upper tang, a small brass inlay with embossed female face on the left side of the butt, and floral and border engraved buttplate tang.

Rating Definition:

Good as reconverted. The barrel and lock have dark brown patina and applied brown finish. There is moderate pitting concentrated at the breech and some subtle Damascus patterns. The brass has attractive aged patina. The stock has a repaired break in the wrist, some repaired cracks along the forend, a few chips (mostly at the breech), and beautiful flame figure. Mechanically fine.
