Description:

Manufactured by Philip Bond in 1800-1816 with a gold banded breech with gold vent liner, "P. BOND 45 CORNHILL LONDON" on top of the barrel, "P BOND" and light engraving on the advanced lock, adjustable single set trigger, and a checkered saw handle stock with silver forend cap, wedge escutcheons, and butt inlay.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel has an older refinished brown, a sliver of the gold band absent, and some minor pitting. The lock has mottle gray and brown patina. The silver has dark aged patina. The other fittings have a mix of applied brown and dark patina. The reoiled stock is good with minor nicks and scratches, crisp checkering, and some slight chips. Mechanically fine.
