Inlaid with "K. SCHWAB IN PILSEN" on the barrel indicating manufacture in western Bohemia, post front sight, rear sight filler block, gold bands and accents at the breech, interestingly sculpted back action locks, floral and game scene engraving on the various components, an engraved hunter on the upper tang, a "JA" inscribed German silver inlay on the bottom of the forend, single set right trigger for the rifled barrel, plain trigger for the smoothbore barrel, horn grip extension, German style large cheek rest, wood patch box, and relief carved scrollwork.

Very good with distinct Damascus patterns lightly visible on much of the barrel, some faded areas, over 75% of the original gold inlays, mostly smooth gray and brown patina throughout, some light pitting, and scattered minor marks. The re-oiled wood is fine and has partially smoothed checkering, some repaired cracks and filled in grain, and some minor dents and scrapes. Mechanically fine.
