Manufactured around the 1830s-1840s with "CANON DE DAMAS" (Damascus barrel) in gold inlay on the top of the barrels, Liege proofs on the left flats, German silver blade front sights, fixed notch rear sights, single set triggers, floral and bird scene engraving, German silver cap boxes on the pommels, carved forend tips, and fish scale checkering.

Very good with faint original blue, attractive Damascus patterns, all of the gold inlay, minor oxidation, and several dings on the barrel; traces of original case colors visible on the remaining components (brightest around the hammer), cracks in the hammer spur and hammer neck, partially loose right wedge escutcheon, crisp checkering and carving, repaired crack in the left side of the butt, and mild scrapes and dings.
