Belgian period copy of the Napoleonic French muskets marked with the oval Liege proof on top of the barrel over stamped with "2d. Regt. B.C. MIL.," "crown/DD" on the left at the breech, "4" on the underside of the lock and heel of the buttplate, "IIII" marked on the nose of the lock and in the lock inlet, "HB" behind the pan on the lock, and some other small proofs. An "X" is cut into the cheek rest.

Fine overall with dark brown patina, mild oxidation, brighter wear from a bayonet socket at the muzzle, and mild chips and scratches in the stock. Mechanically excellent.
