Manufactured in 1858. The barrel has the two-line New York address inside brackets, the frame has "COLTS/PATENT," and the cylinder has the stagecoach holdup scene. Matching numbers are found on the barrel, frame, trigger guard, back strap, cylinder, loading lever, wedge and arbor pin. The partitioned case contains a single faced eagle powder flask, cap tin, "COLTS/PATENT" marked two-cavity brass bullet mold and lead balls. The latch hardware is marked with a "crown/VR" proof and "SECURE PATENT."

Fine. The revolver retains 30% of original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. Most of the cylinder scene remains. The hammer, loading lever and frame retain 60% original case colors. The grip straps retain 70% original silver plating. The grip is also fine with a couple hand carvings on the bottom, some minor pressure dents and scratches and high edge wear with most of the varnish remaining. Mechanically excellent. The relined and refinished case is fine showing some minor handling/storage marks and some high point wear on the lining.
