Manufactured in March 1925 ("2/25" proof date). Features original winged post front sight, adjustable and removable rear sight (often absent), mount for tang peep sight, "BUG" proofmarks, no maker's mark, light border engraving, smooth Schnabel forearm, and checkered Tyrolean buttstock with single hook buttplate.

Fine with 20% original case colors (especially vibrant on the left side of the action), traces of faded original blue finish, and brown and gray patina on the balance. The wood is very good and has light dings and scratches, some small chips at the edges, and crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
