Manufactured in 1955. Standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proofs and "-SUPER GRADE-" on floor plate, hooded ramped fixed blade front sight, no rear barrel sight, Griffin & Howe scope base on the left side with a Lyman Alaskan 2 1/2x scope, Lyman sight base on the rear of the receiver, jeweled bolt, extractor, and follower with matching serial number electropencilied on the bolt body and checkered stock with black forend cap and solid Winchester recoil pad.

Very fine. 95% plus original blue finish remains with sharp markings, scattered small nicks and surface scratches, and cycling marks on the bolt. The scope base is custom blued, possibly by Griffin & Howe. The period refinished, highly figured stock has been lightly sanded around the cheekpiece with softened edges, and a more rounded comb, otherwise the wood has a few small dings and mild crazing around the butt edge. Mechanically excellent.
