Manufactured in 1934 and subsequently customized by Griffin & Howe of New York. Beaded blade front sight on the tapered barrel marked "No. 1697 GRIFFIN & HOWE Inc. NEW YORK". With the caliber designation "30-06 GOV" marked on the left side just forward of the breech. Matted receiver ring with drilled and tapped holes and filler screws in place. With a Griffin & Howe left side scope mount and Redfield 4x scope, base for a Lyman adjustable receiver sight, jeweled bolt and follower, and knurled bolt handle. Checkered shadow line cheekpiece stock with contrasting forend cap, blue steel grip cap, and checkered steel buttplate with trap, containing the top half of the as mentioned Lyman rear sight. Silver initial oval marked "JTDEBW".

Fine as assembled and refinished by Griffin & Howe with 98% of the blue finish, sharp markings, and small handling and cycling marks. The stock is also fine with crisp checkering, and a few small dings. Mechanically excellent.
