The receiver is finely engraved with highly detailed game scenes of roe deer on the right and dogs and stag on the left. The left lock is marked "H.SCHERPING/HOFBUSCHENMACHER", and the right is marked "HANOVER". Dual triggers, cocking indicators, and tang mounted safety switch. Checkered splinter forearm and buttstock with a raised cheekpiece, and engraved checkered steel buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .674 inch; minimum wall thickness .031 inch; drop at comb 1 3/4 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 13 3/4 inches. With a leather covered takedown case with extra 29 1/2 inch solid rib 16 gauge shotgun barrel set with 2 5/8 inch chambers and improved cylinder/modified chokes.

Fine as refinished with 75% of the blue finish on the combination barrel with areas of mild pitting visible, small dings, clear markings, some heavier oxidation. Small dent in the shotgun barrel. Extra barrel set is also fine with 90% of the blue finish. The receiver and lock plates have an overall gray patina with sharp engraving and light surface spotting. The wood is fine with a freshened coat of varnish, sharp checkering, and small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with scuffs, worn lettering on the exterior, and areas of discoloration.
