Near full coverage floral scroll and game bird scene engraved receiver with dual triggers and a tang mounted thumb safety. The left side of the receiver is signed "S.P." Checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings, and checkered buttstock with a serrated Merkel buttplate. Stock measurements are: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull. With leather bound Merkel takedown case, cloth case cover, nickel oil bottle, and three-piece wood cleaning rod.

Excellent. 99% original blue finish remains with mostly light handling marks, small nicks, and some light discoloration on the receiver. The wood has scattered dings and a few larger dents with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent.
