Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrels have an overall brown patina with some rougher spotting, good, visible Damascus pattern, clear markings and traces of old preservative varnish. The receiver has a mottled gray/brown patina with traces of original case colors on the lock plates and crisp engraving. The wood is also fine with well defined checkering, small dings and dents throughout, visible crack at the heel, and chips on the toe and buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
