This is an exceptional example of an original DWM Model 1906 Commercial Navy Luger. These Commercial Navy Lugers are very scarce as few were manufactured relative to the Naval issued counterparts. The top of the chamber area is blank, and the front toggle is marked with the standard DWM logo. It still retains its original 6 inch Navy length barrel and the correct two position Navy type rear sight, grip safety, thumb safety marked "Gesichert", and shoulder stock lug. The left side of the barrel extension has the correct faintly marked early "Crown/B" and "Crown/U" commercial proofs. The underside of the barrel has the heavier "Crown B/U and N" proofmarks over the bore diameter and serial number. It is correctly numbered in the commercial manner with the full serial number (51361) numbered on the front of the frame with the last two digits (61) stamped on the various other parts. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered checkered walnut grips. It is comes a tin plated magazine Navy type wooden "concentric circle side" base that is stamped in script "Cal/9m/m".

Excellent with 95% plus of the original blue finish overall with edge wear and the small parts retaining 80% of the original straw colors. The grips are in very fine condition with nice distinct checkering overall, only a couple of pressure dents and scratches on the sides. Mechanically excellent.
