Description:

Introduced in 1941, the STEN Gun was a significant deviation from the hand-made, engineered SMGs that were the standard of the interbellum years, constructed chiefly from stamped and welded sheet metal and well suited to mass production. Though somewhat rough to the eye, the STEN was the quick and dirty bullet hose that the Allies needed, being widely issued by the Commonwealth of Nations, air dropped to resistance forces throughout Europe, and imitated by both the Americans and the Germans. Fixed blade front and peep rear sights, with the model and serial number markings on the magazine well and the two-position selector button on the trigger group, with a vented handguard and a tubular buttstock. No magazines are included, but the lot does come with numerous components, including multiple stocks, bolts, barrels, springs, small parts, and an uncut Sten Mark II receiver tube (note: tube is not registered).

Rating Definition:

Very good as professionally refurbished/refinished, showing 98% of the current black finish, with some mild handling marks and edge wear. The selector switch is a bit stiff, otherwise mechanically excellent. NOTE: This item is restricted as a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a "Curios or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
