Manufactured in 1914 at Springfield Armory. Blade and flat top notch sights, with the two-block patent and address marks on the left side of the slide, model nomenclature on the right, and "flaming bomb" proofs on the slide and frame. Fitted with a long smooth trigger, knurled wide hammer, short grip safety, smooth back strap, an unmarked replacement two-tone pinned base magazine, and a "S/P" marked barrel.

Extremely fine, with 80% plus original blue finish, showing a brown patina on the grip straps, gray on and around the high edges, and some light handling marks. The grips are very fine, with crisp checkering, scattered dings and dents. Mechanically excellent. This exceptional U.S. Springfield Model 1911 would fit nicely into any U.S. military collection!
