Description:

Manufactured between 1963 and 1969. The Stevens Model 77E was produced almost exclusively under government contract during the Vietnam war, making it one of the most widely used combat shotguns of the war. Single bead sight, 2 3/4 inch chamber, standard barrel markings, and full choke. The top of the barrel and receiver are stamped with small "P" proofmarks at the breech, and the right side of the receiver is correctly stamped "U.S." Serrated slide handle, sling swivels on the barrel and buttstock, and smooth buttstock with a vented rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 12 3/4 inches.

Rating Definition:

Fair. Traces of original parkerized finish remains with a dark patina on the balance, areas of deep scattered pitting throughout (mostly on left side), clear markings, and heavy handling and cycling marks. The wood is good with areas of the original black stain, small dings and dents, and hardening and cracking on the pad. If you wanted one Vietnam conflict U.S. shotgun that saw action, look no further!
