Manufactured originally in 1942. Blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with a later production replacement Springfield "S-A-6-47" barrel, Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, and operating rod. The presentation-quality highly figured walnut stock bears "S.A./F.McF." and "Ordnance cannon" cartouches on the left side, with a serifed circled "P" on the wrist, a brown leather sling, and a checkered buttplate.

Very fine with 80% of the parkerized finish, showing a few light areas on the barrel and receiver, bright spots on the gas tube, edge wear and mild handling marks. The revarnished stock is fine, with some light scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent.
