In 1902 the U.S. Ordnance department purchased 4,600 Model 1902 revolvers in the serial number range of 43,401 to 48,097. The revolver has the distinctive oversized trigger and trigger guard. It has standard Colt markings, a frame marked "RAC" on the left side and "JTT," "1902" and "U.S." on the right side, a trigger guard and rear cylinder face marked "RAC" and a barrel with the letter "K" marked on the underside. The cylinder is numbered to the gun.

Very good. The revolver retains 50% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. There are some grinding marks on the front strap and some extensive pitting visible on rear frame (mostly on the back strap and frame rear). The lanyard loop has been removed. The replacement grips are fine with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
