Originally manufactured in 1908, this Colt pistol has received the attention of noted American Master Engraver Angelo Bee, and bears his "ABEE" signature and distinctive "bee" logo on to of the slide just ahead of the ejector port. With the exception of the gold-filled serial number the original factory markings were left as-is, with the remaining surface featuring 70% plus coverage of fine punch dot backed American scroll engraving, fine gold wash on the trigger, and golden borders on the sides of the slide and frame. The top of the slide between the front sight and ejector port is adorned with an engraved mountain scene prominently featuring a copper and silver inlaid "screaming eagle" depicted mid-swoop on unseen prey. The grips are fine mother of pearl with silver finished Rampant Colt medallions.

Very fine as custom embellished, with 98% blue finish, showing some mild handling marks overall. There is a small quantity of sub-surface dings and pits, chiefly visible under the grips. Mild operating wear is present on the sides of the trigger, and the inlay is sharply executed. The grips are fine, with some light chipping and cracking of the left panel. Mechanically excellent.
