Description:

Manufactured in 1924 and shipped to Wolf & Klar noted Colt dealer and engraver. Wolf & Klar style simple zigzag style engraving in floral, vine and simple patterns on the barrel, cylinder, frame, back strap and trigger guard bow. The one line address is marked on top of the barrel, "45 COLT" on the left side and the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. Matching numbers, all nickel finish and fitted with a smooth pearl grip on the left side and a relief carved steer head with ruby red eyes on the right side. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, nickel finish, the grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 5 to Wolf & Klar in Fort Worth, Texas on October 17, 1924.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 95% original nickel finish remaining, showing some muzzle wear, some minor flaking on the front edge of the cylinder and some finish loss in the engraving. The grips are a bit ill-fitting and remain good with a large chip on the right heel, a small chip on the left heel and toe and a chip on the upper left panel. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
